Football stars, actors, singers and more speak out to promote French hotline for abused children

Every week in France, two children are killed as a result of domestic violence, subjected to abuse from parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, family friends… adults they trust. During France’s lockdown over the past six weeks, this number has grown significantly. “119 Allo Enfance en Danger” is a hotline where children can reach out for help. The French Secrétariat d’Etat pour la Protection de l’Enfance (State Ministry for the Protection of Children) wanted to be sure they knew about this invaluable support line.

With the gracious help of a host of well-known French personalities and French media, who offered ad space, our team in Paris created a PSA and awareness campaign to get the word out where children will see it: during their programming and on the social media channels they follow.

As a child, standing up to abusive adults is undoubtedly difficult, but with the help of other adults, they can do it. The PSA features celebrities that French kids are familiar with, look up to, and revere, all joining together to spread an important message of support and helping them understand that they aren’t alone.
