Sid Lee uses UX to help mourners grieve through death

Vincent Ramsay, Senior Digital Creative Director, thinks the most exciting thing about experience design is its ability to improve day-to-day life. To him, a designer’s true job is to think beyond the esthetic, look at rising digital behaviours, and think about how to draw inspiration from them to benefit people.

With that aim in mind, Vincent and his team have been mining the possibilities of technology to assist in a difficult moment in our lives: death.

While funerals were once a place of mourning and for gathering, the event seems to have lost its cathartic power.
