Creative Week - The One Show

Last week, I travelled to New York to participate in the One Show – an event that is quickly becoming a must-attend in the industry, if you ask me. Here is a brief recap of my experience.

Overall the One Show had a lot of impressive work. There seems to be a big trend where brands activate their platforms to inspire social change for the greater good. This is a very encouraging sign in our business in this day and age.

The advantage of the One Show is that you get all the golds from each discipline combined - the adverts, interactive, social, design and product innovation - all in a two-hour blitz. The final show was hosted by Alec Baldwin, who was quite funny.

All in all, a lot of interesting work, but these are the top three projects that caught my attention:

1. Innovation: Outdoor British Airways Magic of Flying – Really crazy media buy.
2. Physical Product A.C.Camargo, Cancer Center Superformula to Fight Cancer – This one will inspire you, or at least, I think it will.
3. Spatial Design: Indoor Olfa Cutter Cut to Build – Just crazy!
