for Tomorrow

Each day on earth, people from all walks of life present solutions to inequality, pollution, and inaccessibility. Humans care about each other. We want to fix things, and have created systems to do so. But are they working?
Here’s the truth: no one is better suited to solve the unique challenges of their communities than the people who live in them. This is the catalyst behind forTomorrow: a project to expand the sustainability conversation by spotlighting grassroots innovators and changemakers from all over the world. To push the needle from distant systems to in-present solutions.

Behind the historic partnership

Behind the historic partnership

Hyundai Motor Company is evolving. In 2019, they set their brand vision to “Progress for Humanity,” thereby marking their intention to go beyond automobile manufacturing and become a mobility solution provider. In other words, they’re taking sustainability seriously.

A goal this significant called for the best counsel in the world. So we called the UNDP.

There began weeks of talks, workshops, and pitches in New York City that eventually resulted in a first-of-its-kind partnership.

for Tomorrow: The Documentary

for Tomorrow: The Documentary

The full-length documentary was filmed and produced in partnership with Nation of Artists who worked alongside local crews in Việt Nam, Sierra Leone, Azerbaijan, India, and Indonesia. Due to the complications COVID brought to traveling, An Tran directed the production over Zoom.
The documentary premiered at the Lincoln Center in New York City on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly. Among the attendees were UNDP Administrator Achim Steiner, UN Ambassadors Antje Leendertse, and Hyunjoo Oh, and the innovators featured in the film. Emmanuel Mansary, fresh off his first ever plane ride, was greeted by a group of expatriates from Sierra Leone that showed up in support of his project. It was an unforgettable day for the team.

The film is available on both Amazon Prime and Youtube.
